The BioProcessors management team brings years of experience in life science, biotechnology, engineering, software development and business strategy.

 

Scott D'Amour, President
Mr. D’Amour joined BioProcessors as Vice President of Finance in 2004. During his tenure at BioProcessors Mr. D’Amour was part of the Company’s management team through the development and launch of the SimCell™ System and two rounds of venture capital financing. He was appointed to the position of President in December 2007. Prior to joining BioProcessors D'Amour served as Senior Director of Finance and Operations at Pyrosequencing, Inc., a Swedish life science tool manufacturer. At Pyrosequencing, Mr. D'Amour played a major role in developing financial plans, operating infrastructure, implementation of controls, and integration of acquisitions. Previously, he occupied numerous financial positions of increasing responsibility at Applied Biosystems. Mr. D'Amour received a B.S. in Business from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and a M.B.A. and M.S. in Finance from Boston College.

 

James A. Hope, Ph.D., Vice President of Biotechnology Services
Prior to joining BioProcessors in 2003, Dr. Hope served as Chief Technology Officer at BioTransplant Inc., a Boston-based biopharmaceutical company. Previously, he occupied the positions of Senior Vice President of Development and Vice President of Development at BioTransplant. As Executive Director of Operations, Technical Support at Serono Laboratories, Inc. he directed the manufacture of recombinant human growth hormone and the transfer, scale-up and validation of other biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes. He served as the Director of Production and Bioprocess Development at Invitron Corp., a contract developer and manufacturer of mammalian cell-based biopharmaceuticals. Dr. Hope received a B.S. in Microbiology and Chemistry from the University of Reading (U.K.) and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from King's College London (U.K.).

 

Seth T. Rodgers, Ph.D., Chief Technology Officer
As CTO at BioProcessors, Dr. Rodgers is responsible for the development of our high throughput biopharmaceutical platform, and for continuous improvement of BioProcessors core technologies. Dr. Rodgers leads the team of scientists and engineers responsible for product development from concept through design for manufacture. In addition, he helps support BioProcessors commercialization activities, and advises the management team on opportunities for new applications and future growth.
Dr. Rodgers was previously employed by McKinsey & Company, where he served as a consultant to a diverse group of Fortune 500 companies. He focused on strategy and business building in the chemicals, logistics and technology sectors. Dr. Rodgers holds a Ph.D. and M.S. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. magna cum laude from University of California San Diego, all in Chemical Engineering.
